Airbnb revealed on Tuesday that it is broadening its services offering by introducing a private car pick-up option in 125 cities worldwide. In collaboration with transportation provider Welcome Pickups, users can now arrange private rides in popular destinations such as Paris, Bali, and Mexico City.

According to Airbnb, the feature has already been tested through pilot programs in Europe and Asia, where it was used by thousands of travellers and received an impressive average rating of 4.96. When users book a stay in a supported city, they will find an option within the Trips section of the Airbnb app to schedule a private ride to their accommodation. The app also enables users to review booking details and make updates with ease.

“Airbnb Services are designed to enhance a guest’s stay, and our partnership with Welcome Pickups delivers that from the moment they arrive,” said Dave Stephenson, Airbnb’s chief business officer.

The company shared that it plans to gradually extend this service to additional locations over time. Airbnb first introduced its services category last summer alongside an expansion into experiences, offering users access to a variety of services such as private chefs, catering, ready-made meals, photography, massages, spa treatments, personal training, and beauty services across eight countries.

In November, Airbnb partnered with Instacart to give users in select U.S. cities the option to order groceries before and during their stay.

With the addition of this feature, Airbnb is continuing to build a more comprehensive ecosystem of services. The company has also been testing hotel booking options. During its Q4 2025 earnings call, CEO Brian Chesky emphasized the vast potential in the hotel segment, stating that it could position Airbnb as a platform that supports every type of travel experience.
